Some reviews about Electrolux IQ-Touch EI24WC65GS 24 Wine Cellar 46 Bottle Capacity

1 -

Those who care about their electricity consumption, ought to think about this unit. There's lots of units out there that are less pricey and perhaps more practical in size, but this is of the few that have a published electricity rating. A number of its Marvel rivals are not energy certified/rated.

I did lots of research on wine coolers and things to look for when purchasing, and I trusted consumer document that mentioned this unit to be least pricey in yearly energy consumption.

It makes use of 400kWh per year, so they calculated the average yearly cost to run the unit to be ($47) on average. In NY, of work, it would be a double, but it is still nice than paying $400+ a year for a dual temperature unit or a unit that is cheaper and more compact.

As the earlier review said, the unit is made in USA and Canada, which is refreshing. YAY.

In general, the unit is sturdy; although on a heavier side, its pieces/parts are not flimsy. Sliding racks are tremendous smooth. Bordeaux and Pinot Noir bottles fit with no issue.

It is small tiny bit loud when it is walking, but they have an elderly GE fridge ( over 15 years elderly ) standing next to it that has been making noise for some time, so now they both can make noise together. I am used to it, so unless you are very sensitive to this type of noise, you may need to pass on wine cooler all together. All of them make some noise, period.

Bottom line, I got the unit. Not definite the way it will run in the long run, but I will update this review one time there's any changed/news.

2 -

We had looked for a wine fridge for a long time before settling on this particular. Love the look and it holds as lots of bottles as it says it will. Love everything about it but the only reason I could not give it five stars is that it is a small loud when it is walking. Definitely worth the money though!

3 -

Again, they spent time looking for an appliance made in the U. S. or Canada. All Electrolux products are in fact made in the U. S. or Canada, they loved this cooler a lot that they bought other appliances made by them and love all of them. Looks nice, works nice and does not need an engeneering degree to put in and operate it.
