I love the simplicity and efficiency of this coffee pot. It is tidy design doesn't take up much actual estate on my counter. One time the coffee is brewed and it is in the thermal carafe, you no longer require the machine on. Actually, it will shut it is self off in 15 minutes. It brews VERY quickly. My only complaint is that the coffee is not as rich tasting as it was in my elderly Mr. Coffee drip machine. I must make use of more coffee to get the same rich flavor. Having said all that, I do like my coffee strong. In the event you don't this will be ideal for you.

For those looking for a top quality, simple & quick brewing coffee maker with a glass lined thermal carafe to keep brewed coffee hot for hours, look no further! As long as the 8 cup size is for your morning needs, the Bonavita makes the hottest, quickest & best tasting cup ever! The first pot I brewed was so hot, I burned my tongue [first time users - be cautious] Since then I have either gotten used to the heat or it brews a few degrees lower. At any rate I am liking the design of this product from the easy-to-fill reservoir to the smooth fitting carafe lid. No, you cannot pause & serve, but when it only takes four minutes to brew 5-5 oz cups who cares! satisfied.

Most machines make all right coffee, but this produces a noticeably richer coffee flavor than any of the others I have tried. This maker won't be for everyone however, because the brew basket is not attached to the maker, so when brewing is done, the basket must get replaced with the carafe lid, and the basket can not be removed without taking the pot and basket out together. That is over some people need to mess with. In addition you will need a plate or cup to rest the basket on when done brewing, or it will drip all over. If those things do not bother you, this machine makes the best coffee
