Reviews on Baking Ovens

This review is from ( Hamilton Beach 31197 Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie

Actual rating four 1/2 stars. A half point deduction for door misalignment. The door doesn't seal like it is suppose to. It is not a seal but a much larger gap than allowed. Either the the frame or the door is slightly warped. A minor error, however, as it still bakes near perfectly and I didn't detected any actual heat escaping. I still think about the build of the oven excellent.

I tested all features and they work excellent. Convection is excellent and cooks much faster and is calm. Much more calm than the Toastmaster convection which was very noisy! This feature is also handy for speedy warm-ups or making bread rise. The rotisserie also works excellent. You must tie the the chicken up well, however.

The timer does not exactly cease on zero. It seems to go on two minutes or more. Again, a minor thing. compensate for this. It could be because the timer is also the on\off switch.

Using a drugstore temperature gauge I found the reading between the gauge and the oven off by about 25-50 degrees. However, everything cooks excellent using the oven degree markings. No undercooked items. In fact, this thing cooks much faster than recommended time in most recipes, sometimes much faster. For example, on its rotisserie feature I found a three 1/2 pound chicken could of been completed about 15 minutes or more earlier than the recommended two hours. A roll recipe I found bakes about 25% faster than the recipe called for and I didn't even use the convection feature for either! (Note: The oven degree reading and the pharmacy temp gauge reading were the same when using the convection feature.)

caveat: I did find the the broil feature slightly weak for red meats, (it more like bakes it) but it did cook the fish nicely (crisp skin) at near exact recommened times.

When using this oven over 400 degrees the sides and top of the oven gets hot, including the controls! I must note this oven has no insulation of any kind. It also has no oven light, but is not needed, but it would be nice.

Includes a leaflet type cookbook that is only a guide, but it does give sample recipes for every feature. to get you started on what it can. Includes racks, a roast pan with separate grill rack, and a aluminium pizza pan with tiny holes througout. For handy cleanups the bottom of the oven can be basically pulled out and washed.

To give you some idea of its size, it can handle a 12" pizza, in the event you have another of its pizza pan. (Though I never tried it). The rotisserie can handle up to a 5lb chicken. The oven a 7lb roast chicken. The oven interior is about 12" front to back (not including crooked glass door), about 13" side to side, and about 10" from top burner coil to bottom burner coil, with each coil about 1/4" to 1" away from the metal surface respectively. The roast pan that comes with it's an inside dimension (excluding the lips) of about 11 1/2" by 9 3/4".
Overall, an excellent tiny oven for the cost.

Reviews on Stainless Steel Mini Oven by Dualit

This review is from Dualit 89100 1500-Watt Stainless-Steel Mini Oven

1 -
This is a quality countertop oven. It bakes with or without convection. The convection function is incredibly calm. The racks don't fall out or down onto the burners when baking heavy dishes. Even with convection baking, it bakes bread without roasting the top crust. It is large inside with an efficient design that doesn't take up excessive counter space. You can turn it ON or use timer to control the turn-off. It is solid and tight construction obvious quality to the sight or touch. It is only weak point that I have found is that it doesn't actually toast bread on both sides without delay. It is superb for baking, roasting, broiling. Even comes with a cookie sheet

2 -
I've had my Dualit toaster oven for about years now. At first I found it frustrating, but then learned that I ought to not abide closely to recipe times or temperatures. They use our toaster oven  every day for plenty of different things, and usually something that would take 15 minutes in the regular oven only takes about in the toaster oven. I have had issues with cookies getting burned on the outside but not cooked on the inside, so I gave up on them. Although I ought to try again at a lower temperature and longer wait time. It does, however, do a great job making mini pizzas in about minutes. It is a good-looking machine that is useful.

3 -
Solid mini oven. Built like a tank. quit convection operation. Stays at temperature with more off time than on time due to duo pane window & lovely door sealing. efficient low cost to operate. Doesn't toast bread well buy a toater for that. This is a great mini oven that will cook most of your meals at one,500 Watts vs your 12,000 Watt electic range. Do the math

4 -
I looked at lots of toaster ovens & chosen this for its ease of use. What a great tiny oven. Forget about all those so called high tech ovens with their fancy digital & electronic controls. This oven is tremendous user friendly. No complex gadgetry, a few straight forward dials. This oven is made exceptionally well & looks nice with all the stainless. It heats up & cooks quick & I like the convection feature. The top of it gets hot so I use that as a plate warmer. tiny expensive but nice as they say.

Reviews on High Speed Baking, QuikServe Oven by West Bend

This review is from West Bend 76026 High Speed Baking QuikServe Oven, Black/Silver

1 -
This oven is aesthetically pleasing but takes up plenty of counter space. It seems plenty of thought went in to the design ,for example the nice weight cooking pan has a separate lift bracket with stay cold handles. However, if the top part were two inches taller it would have more functional use. I cooked Ore-Ida oven fries in it on the supplied non-stick pan & they were quickly cooked perfectly with an enhanced potato taste. Then later I cooked manicotti in a small & shallow rectangle glass Pyrex dish. Part of of the top elements had burned melted cheese on it. Both items cooked much faster than if I had used my regular sized convection oven or my convection microwave oven since no warm up period was necessary. However, it seems everything has to be place only on the cooking pan which is about the size of a medium frozen pizza. This greatly limits the everyday use of this oven. I had hoped since my toaster-oven recently died that this item would take it is place, but that is not the case. I will probably still use it for fries & frozen pizza, but if I am baking cookies, a cake or a pie then I'll use my microwave or full sized oven.

2 -
This little oven positive is sleek and classy. I had no issues setting it up and any older kid could use it with little to no instruction. Curious about the claims you could bake cookies in it, I whipped up a batch and did some in the West Bend oven and some in my usual conventional oven. I must say the West Bend provided a lovely deal more entertainment as the cookies rotated past the glass window like a carousel of yumminess. But in the finish, the cookies from the West bend were slightly burnt on the bottoms by the time the middles were properly baked. Slightly uninteresting but perfectly done from the conventional oven, which also costs less to operate since it is more power efficient.
Frozen snacks are a different story, they fared about as well as they do in the microwave, sometimes slightly damp from built up moisture. I thought the West Bend did a better job at toasting bagels than my toaster though. IF you had a teenager you didn't trust to make use of the oven, this is a lovely option and it looks stylish on the counter top. I would not recommend it for more youthful hands though, since I had a hard time removing the heating tray without possibly burning myself.

3 -
This fun small unit is a counter-top convection oven that is designed for baking pizzas, hors d'oeuvres, and other small foods. It's a comparatively small footprint meaning no pizza larger than 12 inches and even when opened it fits comfortably on the counter-top beneath the cupboards. It is black and silver finish gives it an beautiful look that means that you won't mind leaving it on the counter on a regular basis.
You place the food on a revolving baking tray, and it cooks it in a speedy and even manner, making it an excellent alternative to the microwave oven. I have an electric oven in the kitchen, which seems to take hours to warm up. This oven, on the other hand, begins cooking  immediately, which means that it is more economical for small projects.
My relatives and I have found this to be a great new way to cook pizzas and mozzarella sticks and other snacks. They have had no issues with it so far, and look forward to using it for a long time to come. All of us highly recommend this oven to you and your relatives.

4 -
This handy, hard-working toaster/convection oven, which needs no pre-heating, is terrific for heating frozen hors d'oeuvres, pizzas & hotdogs. It is simple to tidy, simple to operate, & tiny to sit out permanently on your countertop. I like it for entertaining as an auxillary to my large oven. But I can see that plenty of people would make this their number food heater.

My teenage daughters love to make use of this tiny oven when they have friends over. The fact that they don't must wait for it to preheat (the regular stove takes up to0 minutes to preheat) makes it ideal for fixing a speedy bite between movies. They like it for baking cookies in tiny batches, . That way the cookies can be served hot each time.

I gave of these ovens to my oldest daughter when he moved in to her own apartment. Her busy college schedule has her using this tiny oven over any other appliance in the kitchen. I like it that he will make herself hot food at home, even if it is frozen, than buy take-out. A lot more economical. Someone cooking for or people would probably find this oven a nice buy. Heat up a tiny pizza, cut up an apple, pour a glass of milk, & you have a speedy, cheap & nice meal.

Overall, a handy tiny appliance which has a permanent spot on my countertop. I recommend it.

Reviews on Countertop Convection Oven by Hamilton Beach

This review is from Hamilton Beach 31199XR Countertop Convection Oven

1 -
We bought this after reading the reviews here of several models. I called the mfr to learn the differences between the 31199XR & others, & was told 31199XR lacks the rotisserie parts. That is fine with us as they would seldom use them! It also lowered the cost a bit. In the event you do not plan to make use of the rotisserie, buy this model!

They bought it because the thermostat on our very elderly range died, they cannot discover a replacement, & they are planning to remodel the whole kitchen next summer so they did not need to buy a range now.

The convection seems to speed up browning of items but not necessarily cooking all the way through, so you need to be cautious   they browned a couple of pot pies last night over they desired to! They are still getting used to using the convection feature.

The oven bakes everything in the same time as usual with a full size range. The difference is in the preheat time it preheats way faster than the giant stove. Also, they use the convection feature to speed the preheating phase & then turn it to Bake for the actual cooking. They have an oven thermometer hanging from the rack.

The top does get hot but not as blazing hot as some reviews indicate. Ours is placed well away from cabinet bottoms, other appliances, etc. All of our existing casseroles & pans will fit inside except a 13 x 9" baking dish.

You need to keep the inside spotlessly tidy . these electric ovens will start fires in the event you leave lots of grease & crumbs inside. The bottom pulls all the way out, for cleaning in the sink  that grey thing in the picture is the handle that runs along the edge. The racks also come out, & when it is chilled you can tidy the inside basically. In the event you bake something that drips, like yams, put a piece of foil under it to make cleanup simpler.

Anyone in another review said they burned his hand opening the door  I place my hand over, not under, the handle when opening the door & I do not get burned I also have in my possession a variety of potholders, & I use them!

They are very happy with this purchase & to tell the truth, they are planning to continue using it after the remodel. It is great for baking something for or. I highly recommend it.

This is our second massive size toaster oven like this. They love it because you can cook a lot in it & not must make use of your massive oven. This is great in the coursework of hot summer months!
Our oven actually went out in our home for  two years & they could not afford to repair or replace it so our toaster oven was used  every night in the coursework of that time. It is still working but they moved & decided to receive a new because of all the use on the elderly. Plan on selling the elderly in a garage sale.

3 -
This oven is right for person or with no children. It takes minimal counter space & does a lovely job toasting, broiling, & baking. The convection in the work of baking shortens the baking time, thus using less electric. This oven looks lovely & is simple to keep tidy thanks to its stainless & glass exterior. The rack slide guides could be deeper to prevent feasible accidents, & the aluminum pan that is included is flimsey. In all, I am happy with my oven, & I feel it is a tremendous value thinking about its low cost vs. its intended use. Take appropriate precautions if small children are around when the unit is on since the outside does get hot.

Baking Ovens

Baking ovens are of the most versatile appliances that you can have in your kitchen.

You can much make anything with a baking oven. You can make appetizers, main dishes &, of work, deserts. But how do you found the nice brand or a nice model? Well, here is some knowledge that might help you pick the best fit.

Factors To Think about When Purchasing A Baking Oven
There are various types and models of baking ovens which makes it very easy for one to find a specific model that suits his lifestyle.

A factor to think about when looking for a baking oven is what makes up that diet. What a certain person is keen on eating is a sizable factor to think about when you thinking of buying a baking oven. In case you are in to different types of dishes then, you going to need full control of the heat level, the time & all those other factors so, you may need to buy a baking oven that lets you do so. But in the event you the kind of that lives off of frozen pizza & toast, then you may need to accept a baking oven that has presets.
Another massive factor that needs to be thought about is the space. Some baking ovens are bulky & take up lots of space. Some, on the other hand, are small-kitchen-friendly. So, in the event you have tons of space in your kitchen then, your options are plenty. But if space is something that you have lots of, then, narrow down your options to the smaller baking oven models.
The third factor that is important is the lifestyle. How plenty of people are in the household? Less people would mean that you be fine with a smaller model. More people would mean that it imperative to buy a bigger model.

Baking Oven Types, Models & Other Specifications

Baking Oven Review The Different Models and What People Think of Them

Elly from New Jersey bought this baking oven & here are her thoughts. The first point they mentioned was that this particular model lacks the rotisserie feature & because of that, the cost is a tiny bit lower. They also mentions that the convection feature takes a tiny getting used to.
To clarify, the convection feature in a baking oven is fundamentally a fan that regulates the heat within. It will help to make the cooking faster & it will cook everything, from all the different rack levels, simultaneously.
A important thing that they mentioned is that you often must neat the inside of the baking oven. Fires can start if there's lots of grease & oil left within. A tip that they gives us for simpler cleaning is to place foil under to catch all the fallen food particles

For Peggy from Virginia, the only downfall of this baking oven is the size. He said that making it a few inches taller would help make more things fit. But other than that, he had only nice things to say.
He says that it cooks quickly as compared to other baking ovens. He also says that it works well for Italian fries & frozen pizzas. He also makes use of it to cook fish & such.
Other individuals who have used this baking oven say that it is simple to neat & it is versatile. Although, it is huge, lots of people appear to be enjoying the fashionable exterior.
Aside from this, though, the feature that everybody appears to be a huge fan of is the fact that this particular oven need not be preheated.

that this is a quality countertop oven. The convection feature is very calm & although you opt not to make use of it, it will still to the job very well. The racks appear to be very sturdy & long lasting because they hasnt had the
The only weak point they finds is that it does not toast experience of the racks falling down or coming out .bread on both sides. Otherwise, it does incredibly at baking, roasting or broiling. The space inside is large yet, it doesnt take much space.
They even goes on to say that this is the best countertop oven

Baking oven shopping may be confusing if it is your first but hopefully the knowledge above has helped you in some ways and hopefully it's made your search simpler.
